For our second Shutdown Corner mock draft, we’re going throw a couple semi-likely scenarios into the mix. First of all, as most mocks tend to reflect need as opposed to the Best Player Available mantra, free agency decisions will weigh heavily on many picks. Second, we’ll throw in two hypothetical trades, just to make life a bit more interesting

Here are a few things to watch as free agency heads on into Saturday… The Seahawks are hosting Broncos receiver Brandon Marshall , who has a first-round tender. Unless Seattle can re-negotiate the terms, they’d have to give up their sixth overall pick for Marshall and sign the receiver to a lucrative contract.

Although many of us probably saw this happening, it does hurt to hear that the Eagles have parted ways with Brian Westbrook. Andy Reid has said the following on the situation: Brian is one of the greatest Eagles of all time and he is even a better person and leader. In my mind, there has not been a more versatile running back that the NFL has seen.

Derrick Morgan (Georgia Tech): Morgan was the ACC Defensive Player of the year after posting 12.5 sacks and 18.5 tackles for loss in his junior season. As long as he gets first contact, Morgan has a superlative ability to get outside and around a tackle, and then to recover upfield to get to the quarterback. He can get washed out by power tackles inside, though when he’s taken out of a play, it’s often by way of a double-team
