Cry, Whine, and Moan: Week 12’s worst

License to complain annoyingly is hereby granted to fans of the following teams this week: Veterans of the Cry, Whine and Moan Process : Detroit Lions : I thought it was nice of Tampa Bay to spot you a 17-0 lead.

Denver Broncos’ top rookies compensates for injuries (Canadian Press via Yahoo! News)

DENVER - The Denver Broncos have the fourth-worst defence in the NFL, they’re minus-10 in turnover differential and their injury epidemic is so acute they’re down to their sixth, seventh and eighth options at tailback.

Divisional Power Rankings: The East is not as beastly

For the second time this season, the NFC South failed to capitalize on a weak showing by the NFC East. Atlanta’s home loss to Denver keeps the South stuck in the No. 2 slot, but with three of the four teams in the East struggling, we might have a new leader atop these rankings for the first time soon.

Pretend like you watched the 1 o’clock games …

On the first bye-less weekend since back in September, fans were treated to a slew of early games, a majority of which went down to the wire. In seven of the nine games, each trailing team had a fourth quarter possession where they could have tied or gone ahead

Divisional Power Rankings: AFC West leads the way, sort of

Because I felt bad ranking the AFC and NFC West at the bottom evey week, today’s rankings look at the worst divisions in football.

Around the NFL: Week 4

Raise your hand if a month ago you thought that, after 4 weeks of NFL action, the Buffalo Bills and Tennessee Titans ( without Vince Young) would be 4-0; Michael Turner would be leading the league in rushing with Matt Forte and Chris Johnson in the top 10; and Brett Favre and Greg Jennings would be at the top of the rankings in QB rating and receiving yards while playing for different teams. I imagine most hands are still down. But, as they say, “That’s why we play the games.” So without further ado, let’s take a look at what went on around the league in week 4: Scary Hit on Anquan Boldin : While the hit was obviously quite vicious, I don’t believe that there’s any way Eric Smith should have been fined and suspended for it
